Slackjawed Amazement

I think of this place as a rather quiet corner of the internet.  I enjoy (most of) the comments that come in – more often than not learning something in the process.  But I’ve rarely got hundreds of posts with which to cope.  And despite being a theorycraft kind of guy, I almost never check my stats – I’m writing for whomever finds me and reads, really.  Myself, first, but far from always.

On a whim, I checked.  And I’m a bit staggered.  See, I moved from Blogger to here in July of last year.  On Blogger, with almost a year of off-and-on posting, I’d had a whopping 250 or so visits.  I got here and did a little more frequent writing, and knew I was getting something.  Heck, I knew I’d been mentioned a time or two by WowInsider and that had a bit of flurry, but…

As of the moment I wrote this – Feb 27, 2008 at about 7 pm local time, I have had 109,727 visits.  Dear, Freaking, Goo.  My ego is buffed and buffed again, and I thank you.  I’ll try to sustain your interest.

  1. You and Ego are the two Priest blogs I read. You two offer a nice mix of mutually exclusive topics. Keep up the good work.

  2. Sounds like a big ding! Gratz:-) and thanks for running an awesome blog.

  3. Wow this is a blog….I use it on a daily basis to dig deeper into the mechanics of the game. Bless you for this endeavor. What has taken you tyhousands of hours to compile has given me hundreds of hours of enjoyment. Please continue……

  4. The funny thing about me reading this blog is that I haven’t rolled a priest with any intention of ever leveling it. I have a level 5 troll priest (boblloblaw), but my one and only 70 toon is a elem/resto shaman.

That being said I still really love reading this blog. I check it every day. The reason I keep coming back is the analytical approach to the game, and the learning that it provides me (even reading about priest stuff is very enjoyable for me). I have been motivated to hit the BG’s for the first time due to the content of this blog. While I don’t have a priest, I have found much of the stuff greatly principle oriented and thus applicable across the board. I wish everyone worked as hard about improving their play as you do.

Keep up the good work! Gotta love it!
